Frequently asked questions

Clear answers about creating, sharing, managing, and preserving a Kwa-Heri memorial.

Kwa-Heri is a funeral coordination and digital remembrance platform that helps families bring funeral announcements, important updates, contributions, tributes, livestreams, photos, memories, and digital e-eulogies into one simple memorial link.

A Memorial Announcement is a shareable online page where families can announce a passing and provide funeral details, meeting information, contribution instructions, family contacts, and important updates.

Unlike a printed notice, the same link can be updated whenever plans change.

A Digital E-Eulogy is a rich memorial space that brings together a loved one’s life story, order of service, hymns, readings, livestream details, tributes, photos, videos, and meaningful memories.

It gives family and friends one lasting place to return to beyond the funeral day.

Yes. Many families begin with a Memorial Announcement so urgent information can be shared quickly.

As the send-off approaches, they can continue into the Digital E-Eulogy by adding the life story, programme, gallery, livestream, tributes, and memories at their own pace.

A memorial may be created by an immediate family member or a trusted person authorised by the family.

The memorial owner remains in control and can invite relatives, editors, or a treasurer to help manage selected parts of the memorial.

The family chooses how the memorial is accessed.

It can be public, available only to people with the link, or protected with a password. These settings can be adjusted by the memorial owner.

Family and friends can submit tributes through the memorial link.

The family can choose whether tributes are published immediately or reviewed first. Memorial administrators can approve, edit, hide, or remove submissions when necessary.

Where contributions are enabled, family and friends can support the family through the available payment options.

The memorial dashboard helps authorised family members view contribution records, track progress toward a goal, and keep support information organised.

Yes. The memorial owner can invite trusted family members to help manage content, updates, tributes, contributions, or other responsibilities.

Access can be assigned according to the role each person needs.

Kwa-Heri packages are purchased for an individual memorial experience. The selected package determines the available features and active-access period.

Families receive 12 hours of free access to explore the creation process before completing payment.

Before purchasing, please review the selected package and included features carefully. Once a paid memorial has been activated and shared, refunds may be restricted in line with Kwa-Heri’s terms and refund policy.

The active-access period depends on the selected package:

Essential — 3 months Premium — 6 months Legacy — 12 months Concierge — 12 months

During active access, authorised family members can update content, receive new tributes, manage contributions, upload memories, and use the included dashboard features.

After the active-access period ends, the memorial remains available as a lasting read-only remembrance space.

Existing stories, tributes, photos, videos, and memorial information remain accessible, while new submissions, editing, contributions, and active dashboard tools are paused.

The family can reactivate selected features or create an Anniversary Remembrance page.

An Anniversary Remembrance page gives family and friends a dedicated space to return, reflect, share new tributes, light virtual candles, add memories, and communicate remembrance gathering details.

Anniversary pages are available for KES 3,900 per anniversary year.

A Communal Memorial is a shared remembrance space for a school, workplace, church, association, team, community, or group honouring multiple people together.

It can include individual profiles, person-specific tributes, shared galleries, multiple administrators, and moderation controls.

Pricing is provided through a custom quote.
